My name’s George, I’m a photographer currently based in Portsmouth. I first picked up a camera back in 2012—one of those classic Christmas gifts that ends up changing everything. I grew up in Gloucester, a small city known for its cathedral and, oddly enough, the biggest ice cream factory in Europe. It’s also where I first learned to see the world a little differently—through a lens.
I shoot a lot of sports. There’s something about the chaos, the emotion, the split-second timing—it’s honest, unfiltered, and real. But I also have a deep love for street photography. Slowing things down, trying to capture something honest. I’m drawn to the moments in between, the stuff people usually miss.
I don’t think photos need a ton of explanation. If it works, it speaks for itself. My job is just to be ready when something worth capturing happens—and to tell a story without giving the whole thing away.
